Positive Living Skills is a social impact organisation passionate about supporting children to learn a range of preventative mental wellbeing skills and strategies so they can become adults who live as participating and contributing members of thriving communities.

The Positive Living Skills initiative includes teacher-led intentional teaching programs for early childhood and primary school settings that are curriculum-mapped, pre-planned and scripted to support teachers students and families.

The Opportunity

We are currently accepting applications from motivated, enthusiastic and experienced customer and community engagement professionals to support our initiative and in particular our growing number of member primary schools.

The Positive Living Skills Customer Engagement specialist – Primary schools will:

Assist our new members to get started with the Positive Living Skills primary school wellbeing program through outbound telephone calls and delivering our onboarding process including Zoom presentations and meetings with key stakeholders
Take inbound enquiries from member schools about the program
Set up new client files and manage the administration process for the PLS primary school customers including licences, invoices, customer surveys and other tasks
Proactively manage community relationships touching base with each member school each quarter/term and offering support

The position will allow the candidate to work from home and will require online meetings with clients and other stakeholders at various times that suit the primary school schedule. The role will:

Commence at 10-15 hours per week on a casual basis with flexible hours spread across 4-5 weekdays
Commencement rate $35.00/hr plus Super with potential to increase

Must haves:

The successful candidate has:

A minimum of 3 years experience delivering frontline professional service in a mental health or education related sector
A knowledge of regional areas and towns in central and western NSW
A demonstrated passion for positive proactive mental wellbeing/social and emotional learning
Exceptional communication and relationship building skills
Persistence, self-motivation and initiative to keep picking up the phone to catch busy Wellbeing Coordinators and teachers
A highly organised approach
Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office – Word, Excel, Outlook and Powerpoint


If you are also an Administration ‘wiz’, experienced with setting up and implementing processes and systems (like CRM systems), we especially want to hear from you.

Qualification in business or education will also be highly regarded, along with a knowledge of the primary education sector.
