We are seeking versatile and energetic people to undertake a range of administrative functions in areas of enrolment and election management, and project management and delivery.

The functions include processing special categories of enrolment and contributing to the planning and project management of key election activities including recruitment, staffing and leading the delivery of a number of projects, ensuring communication flows seamlessly and accurately to the Team Leader.

During an election, the Service Officer and Service Support Officer may also be required to supervise a small team as well as provide training to aid in the delivery of planned activities.

The Service Officer positions (APS 3) are fulltime and the Service Support Officer positions (APS 2) are part time (37.5 hours per fortnight). Upon announcement of a federal election the Service Support Officer position will increase to fulltime hours until the election is completed.

To excel at the APS 3 position you will require to demonstrate the additional skills and abilities;

  • Have accountability for the completion of allocated tasks, making decisions within defined parameters relating to the position, and reviewing work for APS 2 employees and temporary election workforce employees during an election.
  • Exercise independent judgement and resolve workplace issues with a degree of guidance and monitoring from management
  • Assist with leading projects to a successful completion with immutable deadlines.
