About the team

UWA’s International function overseas initiatives focussed on achievement of global engagement and internationalisation strategy. The International function works collaboratively across the University to progress international student recruitment, research and industry engagement initiatives. It establishes strategic partnerships and maintains strong relationships with key education, research, public and private sector organisations worldwide.

About the opportunity

As the appointee, you will work directly with the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Global Partnerships) to explore and implement opportunities for establishment and growth of the University’s offshore and online learning presence.

You will provide oversight for a program of online and offshore projects including managing third party contract development, budgets, scope, risks and stakeholders to ensure all projects are delivered within budget, to agreed timeframes and to quality expectations. 

You will work to ensure relationships are cultivated and nurtured with partners in order to further the University’s international reach and reputation and the achievement of this element of the Internationalisation Strategy.

This role has two key areas of focus:

  • Leadership and strategic project management
  • Fostering relationships with offshore and online education and international university partners

About you

To be successful in the role it is essential that you are an outstanding project manager with experience of the higher education sector; preferably associated with international education and engagement. In addition to strategic and project planning skills you will possess strong interpersonal skills and the ability to influence, motivate and negotiate with a wide range of individuals both inside and outside the University.
