About the role:

Southern Metro Region Division One is currently advertising one full-time, on-going VPS-2 position attached to Malvern Uniform. This role will be working within a dynamic and fast paced team environment that performs all Administrative / Property functions for Malvern Police Complex. The role requires applicants with a strong focus on ethical behaviour and integrity when dealing with information in relation to Victoria Police.

Victoria Police is a contemporary and agile workplace and support flexible working arrangements.

Your duties will include:

  • Undertake a wide range of administrative tasks and general office duties.
  • Assist Station Commanders with property audits, monthly reporting and Property Exhibits when required.
  • Manage and record lost and confiscated property manually and through Victoria Police systems.
  • Attend to telephone and counter inquires to members of the public and external stakeholders.

As the successful applicant, you will have:

  • Exceptional organisational skills.
  • The ability to prioritise a busy workload with completing deadlines.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • The ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and autonomously.
  • The ability to interpret and apply legislation, policy and procedures.

Requirements and relevant information:

  • One (1) Full-time, VPS-2, On-going, Administrative / Property Officer Position.
  • Position will be located at the Malvern Police Station, 288 Glenferrie Road, Malvern although you may be required to work at other locations within Southern Metro Region Division One in accordance with the Victorian Public Service Agreement.
  • Applicants must be an Australian Citizen, Permanent Resident or hold a valid work permit or visa.
  • The successful candidate will be required to undergo pre-employment checks which may include fingerprint checks and misconduct screening.
