The Monash Biomedicine Discovery Institute is part of Monash’s Faculty of Medicine, Nursing, and Health Sciences.

The Research Assistant will provide a variety of high-quality research services to support the operations of the Cellular Signalling & Human Disease Laboratory. Specifically, the Research Assistant will be integral in supporting the delivery of outcomes in the metabolism and cancer research programs in the lab, manage the mouse colony integral to this work and undertake experimental work including isolating and culturing mammalian cells and perform various biochemical and biological assays.

Operating with a focus on excellence and presenting strong analytical, technical and data analysis skills the Research Assistant will demonstrate the capacity to apply effective technical methods, processes and systems. The ideal candidate will have experience in project administration skills and hold an honours degree in the relevant discipline or have equivalent qualifications and experience
