The Opportunity

Sitting within our Disability Support division, the Team Leader will play an instrumental role in the effective delivery of supporting services to clients with complex health needs, ageing clients and vulnerable people requiring support within the community.

You will also be responsible for the following:

  • Coordinate and manage the daily operations of support services, including the provision of formal supervision and management of a team of Disability Support Workers
  • Establish and maintain positive rapport with stakeholders at all levels of the business
  • Oversee roster scheduling alongside our operations & scheduling team to support client requirements
  • Manage conflict, provide coaching and development opportunities to ensure continuous improvement in service delivery
  • Involvement in the recruitment, induction, and orientation of support workers
  • Provide a degree of hands-on support such as covering on-call shifts when required
  • Administrative duties such as developing & maintain client plans and database management

About you

As the Disability Support Team Leader, you will have had exposure in leading and maintaining a high-performing team within the disability or related services industry. You are proactive and enthusiastic in nature as you will form an integral link between support workers and the leadership team.

  • Comprehensive understanding of the standards, policies and procedures contained within schemes such as the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS)
  • Exceptional communication skills; both written and oral
  • A clear understanding and awareness of privacy and confidentiality principles
  • Proven track record in successful stakeholder management
  • Commitment to flexible people-centric approach in problem solving and daily routines
  • Current Police and Working with Children check (or willing to obtain)
  • Current First Aid Certificate (or willing to obtain)
  • Certificate IV or higher in Community Services or Youth Work
