HR is currently undergoing significant transformation to become one of the leading HR functions in Australia and is building a team of exceptional HR professionals to provide customer focused and contemporary solutions and services to our clients.

About This Opportunity

As we continue our transformation journey and work towards our new target operating model, we are seeking applications for the position of Advisor, HR Service Delivery (locally known as Advisor, AskHR). The Advisor, HR Service Delivery, will provide accurate and consistent Tier 1 and 2 HR advice to a range of clients across the University as well as support clients in using Workday upon go live of the system. Successful applicants will have the opportunity to influence the service culture of our HR function with a focus on developing ways to achieve seamless HR service delivery at UQ.

This position is located at our picturesque St Lucia campus, renowned as one of Australia’s most attractive university campuses, and located just 7km from Brisbane’s city centre. Bounded by the Brisbane River on three sides, and with outstanding public transport connections, our 114-hectare site provides a perfect work environment – you can enjoy the best of both worlds: a vibrant campus with the tradition of an established university.

Our Ideal Candidate

You will have advisory experience in a generalist and/or specialist HR function where the focus has been providing accurate advice through sound policy, procedure and legislation interpretation and application. Your ability to exercise good judgement to manage and resolve a range of HR queries must be strong and proven, coupled with the ability to clearly and confidently communicate to a diverse group of stakeholders. Paramount to your success is your passion and application for exceptional customer service.

What We Can Offer

This is a full-time (part-time negotiable), fixed term (exp. up to 31 December 2021) position at HEW level 6.

The full-time equivalent base salary will be in the range $80,784 - $86,768 per annum plus 17% employer superannuation contributions. The total FTE package will be in the range $94,517 - $101,518 per annum.
