Human Resources (HR) at The University of Queensland (UQ) is responsible for enabling achievement of the University’s strategic ambitions through attracting and developing high performing staff, and delivers high quality advice and support to our clients on all aspects of HR and people matters.

HR is currently undergoing significant transformation (including new systems, specialist services, process review and redesign, and improved data and analytics capability) to become one of the leading HR functions in Australia, and is building a team of exceptional HR professionals to provide customer focused and contemporary solutions and services for our clients.

About this Opportunity

Our Team Leader, Employee Benefits is the functional lead for the execution of employee benefits service delivery University-wide, plus contribution to employee benefits strategy and development. As the senior escalation point for employee benefits activities, our successful candidate will work across a wide range of employee benefits, such as salary packaging and superannuation. This includes mentoring and developing the employee benefits team, and embedding a best practice and service focused culture.

This position is substantively based at our St Lucia campus, but currently works from our Toowong office, located 2km from the St Lucia campus.

Our Ideal Candidate

You will be experienced in superannuation and/or salary packaging administration, coupled with a relevant qualification (or equivalent). The ability to apply a solutions focused lens to data integrity, processing, and resolution within frameworks is key, plus extensive experience utilising various HRIS (Aurion, Workday and/or Ramco preferred) and other enterprise software. You will be a highly adept leader, with honed skills in team building, and a orientation towards exemplary service delivery. It is critical that you are comfortable building professional relationships with various interdisciplinary stakeholders.

What We Can Offer

This is a full-time, continuing position at HEW level 6.

The base salary will be in the range $80,784 - $86,768, plus employer superannuation contributions of 17%.
