There has been an unprecedented level of investment in Digital and Technology and it is critical that UnitingCare receives the desired business outcomes to achieve on their 2030 Strategy. As part of this investment, a newly created position of General Manager Digital Platforms Enablement has been established to lead the digital platform strategy and operational management of digital business platforms, including Enterprise Applications, Business Intelligence Platforms, all new enterprise platforms including CRM and other technology initiatives within a high impact care environment.

Reporting to the Group Executive Digital and Technology, you will set the roadmap of how to keep platforms advancing, work with internal staff and external vendors to improve legacy debt and establish internal capability. to drive the delivery of new digital products and services You will leverage your exceptional leadership skills and previous experience taking ownership of enterprise applications, to ensure optimal outcomes and value for customers is achieved.

In this Senior Leadership position, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Improve and grow the level of re-use and value delivered from the digital platforms and products;
  • Involve customers to ensure plans are in place to deliver best value outcomes from these assets including the trial of innovative technology-enabled services;
  • Establish an internal team (and appropriately aligned vendors) with the requisite capabilities to design and deliver needed products and components leveraging UCQ platforms;
  • Provide strategic advice including opportunities to rationalise the application portfolio, define application and platform strategies and operating frameworks; and
  • Deliver excellent customer focused services including asset management plans and roadmaps, support, maintenance, testing and transition of initiatives into production & post go-live support.
To be successful in this position you will have:
  • A track record of effectively leading product and platform development teams in the iterative delivery of digital and technology products and ongoing feature enhancements;
  • Experience leading software development teams especially with respect to integration and development of applications using cloud-based platforms;
  • Experience in developing strategies to improve customer experience, drive operational efficiencies, improve processes and generally adopt a spirit of continuous improvement;
  • Outstanding communication, negotiation and coaching skills, with the proven capacity to influence and motivate Executive and Senior Leaders;
  • Experience improving and enhancing digital platforms in a highly complex and mission critical environment;
  • Previous experience at a senior executive level within a services sector and/or community services sector; and
  • Experience working in an outsourced environment and/or managing the performance of external service providers.
