The Role

As the Stores and Equipment Coordinator you'll be responsible for procurement, storage and issue of all store held materials, plant, consumables, tools, plant and equipment (including leases). Role includes efficient stores management, receiving and transfer activities, stock takes, managing inventory stock levels, and for supporting other store related activities. The scope of this responsibility also includes ensuring compliance, service and maintenance activities of all plant, equipment and store held items are developed and met.

Your Skills and Experience

  • Sound interpersonal skills and an ability to communicate clearly and effectively with a wide range of people within Melbourne Water
  • Demonstrated ability to work and contribute in a team environment to improve processes, respond to various demands and manage multiple activities simultaneously
  • Knowledge of plant and equipment
  • Ability to be proactive, work independently or in a team
  • High level of attention to detail
  • Communication and negotiation skills
  • Demonstrated experience in a similar role
  • Intermediate level in MS Office skills (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Demonstrated experience in the use of maintenance and stores management information systems (e.g. Maximo)
Your ability to establish and maintain collaborative working relationships with internal and external stakeholders is required together with a valid Victorian Driver's License and a valid Forklift ticket.
