Capricorn is a member-based financial services organisation which exists to improve the lives of over 23,000 Members across Australia and New Zealand by supporting them in building stronger automotive businesses. We provide products and services including trade credit, risk protection, equipment finance, trade events, travel services, fuel cards and more. Last financial year Member purchases exceeded $2.1 billion and Member returns exceeded $55 million.

The role and what we are looking for

Reporting into the CEO Automotive, the Head of Marketing & Digital will lead the planning, development and execution of all marketing, advertising and communication strategies across all business units, actively contribute to driving Member purchases and positioning Capricorn as Australasia's largest automotive cooperative. The role is also responsible for the management and growth of the Capricorn Rewards Program. Creating a high- performance culture, this role will lead the marketing team which comprises of campaign management, digital marketing, content, advertising, and creative services roles.

Key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Development and implementation of strategic and tactical marketing plans at a group and business unit level;
  • Responsible for continuously monitoring and reporting on the effectiveness of campaigns through analysis and ROI disciplines;
  • Maintain the group's brand and industry reputation through marketing, content and public relations activity;
  • Manage the Capricorn Rewards Loyalty Program to increase sales and change Member behaviour;
  • Management of the marketing budget and advertising targets to support group marketing initiatives;
  • Implement and manage the group's digital marketing efforts including all website assets, search engine optimisation, remarketing, content email marketing program and social media platforms;
  • Manage Member and supplier research projects and initiatives across the group;
  • Work closely with key stakeholders and sales teams across the group to ensure campaign activity and messaging buy-in and alignment.
We're also looking for candidates with the following skills and experience:
  • Demonstrated experience in both traditional and digital marketing and communications Tertiary qualifications in marketing (essential);
  • Relevant post graduate designation (preferred, not essential);
  • Demonstrated budget management experience
  • Strategic and critical thinker with strong business acumen;
  • Proven record of successful tactical marketing initiatives, PR, content, and communication strategies, leveraging research insights, and brand management.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong relationships with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders
