About your role

Your primary function is to provide sales, product and process coaching and development to drive a lift and then sustained performance for our SMB (Small to Medium Business) Channel Partners, Direct Sales Teams, Business Relationship Executives and internal Tele-sales teams on a State level. You will be responsible for increasing capability and knowledge across all Optus Products, Systems and Services. Sales and soft skills coaching will be also be provided along with ensuring our go-to-market propositions and position aligns with Optus Values and our SMB strategic goals.

Primary responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

  • Bespoke sales coaching and training for all Optus SMB whole-of-business solutions (e.g. mobile, fixed, data, cloud/ ICT);
  • Contribute and carry a shadow target for the State sales number and track return on investment for each coaching program put into place;
  • Develop new coaching programs around getting an uplift in sales for their state and own the reporting and figures for this program;
  • Own the upskill and programs for both internal and external sales members;
  • Work on strategy around a state lift or on communication around non-performance and how-to performance;
  • Provide infield coaching with our or BCP's to roll out business initiatives and create bespoke individual coaching plans;
  • Working closely with the local Channel Solutions Manager on all coaching plans, hand off points and tracking ROI; &
  • Embrace and lead the way with technology methods of coaching.
Your ingredients for success
  • Minimum of 5 years of Training, Coaching and Facilitation experience as gained from a Telco environment;
  • Advanced experience working with Franchises / Channel Partners;
  • Excellent time management and organisation skills, target and sales driven, trustworthy and people-centric;
  • Influential, able to coach for sales performance, with in-depth Telco product knowledge;
  • Ability to question & challenge to drive improvement, you think laterally and “outside the square”; &
  • Strong sales experience & experience in developing and implementing successful B2B execution strategies.
