There has been an unprecedented level of investment in Digital and Technology and it is critical that UnitingCare receives the desired business outcomes to achieve on their 2030 Strategy. As part of this investment, a newly created position of General Manager Digital and Technology Delivery – Corporate has been created to establish and evolve a new Digital & Technology partnership delivery model.

Reporting to the Group Executive, Digital & Technology, this exceptional opportunity will allow you to establish a delivery capability that enhances corporate business systems across the entire business. Leveraging from your extensive Senior Leadership experience, you will lead in partnership with your business peers, the delivery of one of the largest payroll consolidation initiatives in Queensland, an enterprise scale HRIS implementation for over 15,000 staff, as well as the delivery of large technology transformation initiatives within Business & Finance, People & Culture, Marketing and Corporate Affairs and Governance business functions.

In this Senior Leadership position, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Establish and evolve a new Digital and Technology partnership delivery model with customer executives to improve the quality, speed and cost outcomes derived from Digital and Technology investments;
  • Lead the activities to co-design, plan, schedule, resource and deliver required capabilities consistent with the most appropriate delivery methods (including lean, agile approach) while also representing optimum enterprise value;
  • Lead a number of cross functional teams comprised of the needed business representatives and technology professionals who apply their subject matter expertise and skillsets; and
  • Work closely with Digital & Technology Senior Leadership peers to achieve the desired outcomes and alignment with the broader technology strategies and roadmaps, relevant delivery methods, architectures, policies and standards.
To be successful in this position you will have:
  • Extensive experience leading the successful delivery of information technology services and programs, ensuring services are customer-centric, optimised and value driven;
  • Proven experience leading enterprise level technology transformations, such as large-scale payroll consolidation and complex HRIS system implementations and Finance system transformations;
  • A track record of effectively leading cross-functional product teams in the iterative delivery of digital and technology products and ongoing feature enhancements;
  • Outstanding communication, negotiation and coaching skills, with the proven capacity to influence and motivate Executive and Senior Leaders;
  • Experience working in an outsourced environment and/or managing the performance of external service providers;
  • A can-do attitude with a customer-centric approach and the ability to create genuine collaborative partnerships with your customer group; and
  • A qualification in portfolio, program and/or project management, financial management and/or service management.
As a seasoned professional, you will be able to demonstrate the successful delivery of enterprise scale corporate technology programs and the ability to establish your own delivery capability in large enterprise environments.
