Metropolis Services has specialised in the operation of stone slingers all over Australia for more than 10 years, making us the most experienced specialist stone slinger operator in Australia. Stone slingers are remote controlled vehicles which use rapid conveyors to propel soil, sand, gravel or mulch up to 40 metres away. We service all states and support projects all over Australia in the Civil Landscape, Road Construction, Civil Construction, Petroleum, Urban Development, Land Remediation and Renewable Energy sectors. Metropolis Services is seeking motivated applicants for multiple roles based in QLD - NSW - VIC with regular travel a requirement of the role.

Qualifications & experience

• Construction Industry Induction Card (White Card)
• Driver Licence
• Mechanical Background or Qualification, Experience in Plant or Vehicle Maintenance would be an advantage.
• Civil Construction/Landscaping experience an advantage however all applicants with a genuine interest in the industry will be considered.

Tasks & responsibilities

• Carry out machine pre-starts
• Operate remote control Stone Slingers
• Carry our regular maintenance on Stone Slingers
• Carry out mechanical and hydraulic repairs on Stone Slingers
• Liaise with clients and project stakeholders
• Regular travel/Work away from home
• Weekend Work
• Regular Drug & Alcohol testing
