About the Position & Company:

Our client is a leader in the industrial automation sector, with a vast portfolio of products and systems that can be found in many industries, including the food, chemical, pharmaceutical, automotive, energy, paper and steel sectors. Due to expansive growth, they are looking to strengthen their team with two Sales Engineers to service both the North-Western and South-Eastern regions of Melbourne. 

As part of a small enthusiastic and professional local team, and with the backing of a global international brand, you will service existing and new customers across Metro and Regional Melbourne by providing a comprehensive solution-sell to their needs and requirements. 

Responsibilities:

• Solve customers problems and identify market opportunities
• Continuously seek new applications where this company’s technology can be implemented
• Provide technical support for customers
• Diagnose industrial process equipment on-site, analyse customer control systems and make appropriate integration decisions
• Generate technically accurate quotes in collaboration with your colleagues
• Train customers, sales staff, and partner suppliers on product range
• Organise technical demonstrations at customer sites
• Work closely with the systems specialists in Australia and also those from around the world
• Develop long-term sales plans for key customers 

Skills and Requirements:

• Engineering or technical degree 
• Knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical components used in systems will be advantageous, however not essential
• Excellent troubleshooting, analysis and diagnostic skills on system based equipment
• Able to travel to country Victoria for up to a week at a time
• Self motivated and able to manage your own time
• Current Australian drivers licence
