We are currently looking for experienced Disability Support Workers in the Sydney regions.

You will be supporting participants in a group home setting and working on a casual roster.

Your role includes:

  • Supporting participants in a group home setting with a disability and who display challenging behaviours
  • Manual handling + personal care
  • Reading medication charts and care/ NDIS plans
  • Building independence using a person-centred approach and home and in the community
  • Light domestic duties and meal preparation
  • Transporting clients using company vehicles
  • Supporting clients during social outings and at day programs.
  • Creating a friendly and warm environment and working closely with other staff members.
  • Having fun and bringing positivity to the group homes.

Essential criteria:

  • Over 12 months paid experience supporting participants with a disability and who display challenging behaviours and have epilepsy
  • First Aid (dated within 3 years)
  • CPR certificate (dated within 12 months)
  • National Police Check (dated within 12 months)
  • Working with children check
  • Valid Drivers Licence
  • Manual handling certificate
  • NDIS online module certificate
  • Minimum certificate 4 in either Disability, Community Services, Individual Support, Aged Care or Mental Health
