Due to this enormous growth, a brand-new role has been created for a high-profile Commercial Manager. You will be instrumental in accelerating this organisations growth and performance in the market. 

ABOUT THE ROLE:

This is an exciting opportunity to join a high performing commercial leadership and strategy team, where you will be instrumental in driving the business through its next phase of growth. As a strategic and commercial thinker, you will work closely with the business to provide ongoing insights and recommendations to influence key decisions. You will be accountable for driving revenue growth through best in class pricing and decision support. 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Reporting to a seasoned and inspirational Executive Senior Strategy and Performance Manager and working closely with the local leadership team, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Pricing strategy development, governance and upkeep of large commercial deals;
  • Identification and pricing of commercial risk, ensuring accurate and timely responses to customer tenders and management of key market and competitor intelligence;
  • Accountable for the development of pricing strategies by customer, product and service, ensuring strategies deliver targeted levels of accountable profit;
  • Accountable for leading the sales and operational planning process including the implementation of organisational wide performance frameworks.
  • Accountable for identifying, planning and implementing growth, operational and commercial performance opportunities ensuring risk is priced or mitigated appropriately;
  • Work with cross functional leadership to drive and contribute to local footprint, productivity, planning, transformation, operational excellence and Profit enhancing initiatives;
  • Accountable for generating, analysing and disseminating market intelligence information, including customer & supplier market trends/developments & competitor analytics;
  • Business partnering and development of strong relationships with senior stakeholders and their teams;
  • Ensure a continuous level of service is delivered to the business and ongoing identification and delivery of improvement opportunities.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

You are degree qualified in either Accounting, Finance, Engineering or Economics. An MBA qualification, CA/CPA/CFA or post graduate qualifications in strategy would be highly regarded although not essential. You have ideally gained at least 5-10 year's experience in a blue chip environment within a true business partnering or commercial strategic position ideally from within a B2B organisation. You may currently be a high performing Commercial Manager, Strategy Manager, Business Development Manager, Pricing Manager or Business Performance Manager looking to progress your career within a hyper growth Australian brand. Either way, you possess strong pricing, financial modelling, commercial management and product strategy experience and have the ability to provide insights that add value to the business. In addition, you will have:

  • Strong commercial acumen with a proven track record of actively driving business decisions.
  • Extensive experience in commercial and financial management including pricing, product strategy and development and market intelligence.
  • Demonstrated analytical skills and experience using tools such as Tableau and SQL.
  • A curious intellect and continuous improvement mindset.
  • Highly developed written & verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively manage a wide range of key stakeholders.
  • Team leadership skills.
