JOB DESCRIPTION

Our aim is to reduce fossil fuel usage on all sites by 30% within 5 years. That is what we call sustainability

UON is currently seeking an experienced and motivated HV Mechanic to join our team with a 8:6 FIFO roster from Perth. Ideally you would be available for an immediate start.
Key duties of this role includes:

  • Predictive and reactive service, maintenance and repair of Cummins/Volvo engines and other UON equipment as required
  • Trouble shooting and provide professional advise as required
  • Technical client liaison at various stages of Jobs
  • Provide a high level of verbal and written communications to clients
  • Work collaboratively with all UON departments to achieve UON goals, values and behaviour's
  • Adherence to All company policies and procedures, including but not limited to HR, QA, HSE and other relevant systems

To be successful in this role you MUST possess the following;
  • Qualified Heavy Vehicle Mechanic with skills in mechanical fitting/diesel engine maintenance
  • Experience working within the mining and resources industry
  • Pass a pre-employment medical
  • Excellent written and communication skills
  • Excellent time management and task prioritisation skills.
  • Able to manage and perform administrative and hands on duties
  • A positive can do attitude and a team player mentality
  • Customer focused and company orientated

This role requires a high level of flexibility for the ideal candidate. You will be required to provide breakdown solutions & service and maintenance support in remote locations of Western Australia.
