Technical Business Analyst (Health) Based In Darwin

Large enterprise organisation based in Darwin delivering very complex, high value, and/or high-risk ICT programs and multi-year digital transformation initiatives have a requirement for a Technical Business Analyst to support the Project Manager to plan and lead the delivery of end user devices that are fit-for-purpose and meet end-users expectations, coordinate a smooth transition to operational support and ensure effective stakeholder engagement that supports NT Health benefit-realisation.

The organisation is in the process of implementing a new client and clinical management system across all NT Health services, including acute, community, and primary care services as part of the CCSRP. The CCSRP is a major technology program that will transform the delivery of health care services for Territorians by delivering a Territory-wide single, integrated health electronic record system.

The Device Enablement and Provisioning (DEP) Project has been identified as a key enabler that will underpin and maximise the benefits of the CCSRP by streamlining authentication and access to clinical systems. The DEP project will ensure the right mix of devices, including biomedical devices, are available to NT Health clinical and administrative staff to support timely access to clinical information at the point of care, while also meeting applicable legislative and regulatory requirements.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

• Working with project stakeholders to gather and document detailed business requirements.

• Review in-scope devices and produce recommendations to business and project stakeholders.

• Facilitate stakeholder focus groups to resolve issues and support solution design.

• Participate in implementation planning and produce implementation approach

• Develop solution design and support implementation for Desktops, Laptops, Tablets, Mobile Phones, Printers and Scanners.

• Support the testing process within clinical context.

• Produce operation support documentation and processes.

• Produce progress completion reports as required

The role will require working closely with:
  • Core Clinical Systems Renewal teams including Implementation, Engagement and Change, Quality and Testing, Governance, Transition and Benefits Realisation.
  • CCSRP Project Managers, Architects, Business Analysts, Clinical SMEs, Test Team members and other program resources.
  • DCIS DHS Business and System stakeholders.
  • NT Health Clinicians, Business and System stakeholders.
  • Vendor/s.
Essential Skills and Experience:
  • Demonstrated experience as a Technical Business Analyst on complex, large scale, multi system Design/Build projects, including;
  • Gathering and documenting business and technical requirements.
  • Liaising being the conduit between multiple project stakeholders (technical and business).
  • Facilitating and coordinating key project activities between multiple project stakeholders (technical and business). 
  • Developing standard documentation such as solution design, implementation plans and testing plan and progress reporting. 
  • Developing operational support documentation and new business processes.
  • Participation in current state / future state analysis to produce recommendations that support the objectives of the project. 
  • Demonstrated technical experience with the following including installation and configuration:
  • Networked desktop and laptop computers
  • Wireless tablets and mobile phones 
  • High speed network printers 
  • Local printers such as Windows desktop printing
  • Document scanners
  • Specialised devices such as barcode printers, bar code readers, specialised scanning devices 
  • Networking infrastructure and Wifi
  • Deployment and installation methods
Desirable Skills and Experience:
  • Highly developed interpersonal skills – ability to fit in with a high functioning team and work with a varied set of stakeholders. 
  • Excellent problem solver and critical thinker who is able to synthesise information and recommend solutions. 
  • Self-disciplined and resilient – ability to stay calm under pressure; is proactive and persistent in the approach to achieving goals. 
  • Experience and general familiarity with Health industry, clinical terminology, data and systems.
  • Knowledge of central device management systems such as SCCM, Airwatch or Printer Logic

The DEP Technical Business Analyst will be accountable for delivering the following outcomes or deliverables:

Detailed business and technical requirements.

Solution design and recommendations

Implementation plans and testing documentation

Progress and completion reports

The successful candidate will need to be based in Darwin for the duration of the contract.
