We are seeking a detail-focused individual who will be pivotal in maximizing alternative revenue for the Shire. This newly created position will proactively identify grant and sponsorship opportunities that align with Shire’s priority projects and ensure competitive funding applications are prepared. This role will strengthen and promote sustainability within our Shire and our diverse local communities.

Work Type: Part-Time 0.5 FTE

Remuneration Package: Local Government Industry Award 2020 Level 5 up to $37.3426 per hour depending upon qualifications and experience

  • The successful candidate will be responsible for:
  • Identifying and monitoring new and existing funding programs;
  • Researching and preparing detailed funding submissions and business cases to justify external funding; and
  • Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to identify funding opportunities for the Shire’s priority projects.

The Shire of Dardanup blends the picturesque farming hinterland of Dardanup and Ferguson Valley with an expanding urban residential and commercial hub in Eaton, where our Administration Centre is located. Close to the Collie River and Leschenault Estuary plus only minutes from Bunbury, the Shire has been identified as a regional growth corridor with planning underway for the new city of Wanju with a projected population of 50,000 (www.wanju.dardanup.wa.gov.au).
