Due to an increase in work for our telecommunications business, we now have a requirement for multiple experienced Workforce Operations Centre (WOC) Schedulers/ Dispatchers to work on our NBN Unify Activations Project.

As a trusted delivery partner of The National Broadband Network, Lendlease provides end-to-end technology solutions in the rollout of one of the largest and most challenging infrastructure projects in Australia today. 

Lendlease’s Services business is a specialist maintenance and asset management contractor that provides services to the roads, water, telecommunications, power, industrial, remediation and renewable energy sectors. Services is responsible for creating, operating and maintaining public and private infrastructure which services millions of people every day and keeps communities connected and running. 

The Workforce Operations Centre (WOC) Schedulers primary purpose is to assist the WOC Team Leaders in optimise, as required, the daily Simplex and Complex Work Order dispatch process and ensure nbn’s OTD Schedule is fulfilled. Major responsibilities include:

  • Assist the WOC Team Leaders in optimise, as required, the daily Simplex and Complex Work Order dispatch process and ensure nbn’s OTD Schedule is fulfilled. 

  • Responsible for managing the daily dispatch of Simplex and Complex Work Orders to the Contractor’s field workforce, including daily jeopardy management in accordance with the Unify Interactions Manual and to satisfy the relevant Performance Metrics and KPIs. 

  • WOC Scheduler to manage the Contractor’s daily workforce commitments including: 

  • The dispatch of Simplex Work and Complex Orders to its field workforce in accordance with nbn’s OTD Schedule;

  • Management of OTD Schedule changes; 

  • Provision of daily Work Order support including extensions of time and re-scheduling; 

  • Daily jeopardy management to meet nbn’s operational requirements;

  • And any other requirements set out in the Unify Interactions Manual. 

  • Day to day scheduling including forecasting workloads up to 2 days ahead across multiple projects and to ensure that Tickets of Work match with the resource allocated and are realistic and achievable 

  • Develop strong relationships with project team and field teams to ensure successful delivery of all Tickets of Work 

  • Review the status of Tickets of Work on a regular basis to ensure that activities are completed on time; develop contingency plans and implement corrective actions to deal with performance deviations 

To be successful in this position you’ll be a self-starter adequately skilled and experienced in the field of operational workforce management such that they can competently fulfil the requirements of their role at the nbn Lendlease WOC. You will also have; 

  • Previous Experience in Scheduling and Programming Tickets of Work 

  • Telecommunications industry experience

  • 3+ years of experience with Microsoft office suite in an office environment 

  • demonstrated experience working within the telecommunications industry.

  • Your exceptional interpersonal skills and collaborative nature will help you develop authentic relationships with clients and stakeholders.

  • Ability to multi-task between various regions and projects whilst providing strong, consistent direction to project team colleagues and staff is key.
