Patching Associates Acoustical Engineering is looking to add a new Account Manager to the team in Brisbane, Australia. Reporting to the Sales and Marketing Lead in Calgary, Canada, and the Managing Director in Queensland, Australia, you are right for this position if you can demonstrate the ability to be self-motivated and hard-charging with a demonstrated background in achieving and even exceeding targets and goals.

On a day-to-day basis the right candidate will:

  • Contact prospective clients and conduct account planning
  • Complete proposals and quotations
  • Support and follow up with existing clients to maintain relationships
  • Support project management activities
  • Participate in internal projects and personal growth

The right candidate will demonstrate on their resume:

  • 10 years of post-graduate work experience
  • 5 years of client management / sales experience
  • At least 2 years in a consulting engineering sales / technical sales role
  • An established and strong network of business contacts
  • Education that demonstrates a desire to grow within the sales position
  • High proficiency with Microsoft Office

During the interview, we will be looking for behaviours that demonstrate:

  • An ability to listen, understand and consider other views
  • Your willingness and commitment to continued training and development within the sales profession
  • Examples of times when you’ve had to stand firm on your approach and negotiations

  • How you maintain self-motivation
  • Times you’ve met targets and times you can admit to not meeting them; owning the result and pivoting as required
