About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for you to thrive within an expanding multi-disciplinary team. We are seeking a warm, passionate, and creative Speech Pathologist to make a difference to a diverse group of children and adults through the delivery of responsive and flexible clinic-based, mobile and telehealth therapy. An individual experienced with Augmentative and Alternative Communication who loves assisting people to find their voice and have a say. We provide administration, billing, and business support so you can focus on delivering great therapy.

What you’ll do

  • Provide high quality services to a diverse group of adults and children with a disability, their families, and supporters
  • Provide dynamic assessments using a range of tools and approaches
  • Guide equipment solutions and assistive technology
  • Deliver individualised therapy that defines clear outcomes and is centred around the person’s aspirations
  • Work alongside other members of the Allied Health team
  • Provide services within the requirements of the NDIS
  • Through consultation, develop and deliver information and education to stakeholders.
  • Actively contribute to the development of professional knowledge and skills in your field
  • Contribute to shaping the Allied Health service within Mamre

About You

Ideally you will have the following experience and knowledge

  • At least 2 years’ experience working with children, young people or adults with a disability or developmental delay.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a team.
  • Demonstrated ability to undertake a range of assessments related to your profession and use of evidence-based, evidence-informed practice to develop, plan, implement and evaluate services.
  • Ability to work efficiently and independently and manage your own workload
  • Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to liaise effectively with a range of people and build positive working relationships

Role requirements

  • Tertiary qualifications in the relevant field
  • Current practising Speech Pathology Australia membership
  • Professional indemnity insurance
  • Current Australian drivers’ licence and own reliable vehicle
  • A current NDIS Worker Screening Card and Blue Card (or willingness to obtain)
