JOB DESCRIPTION
We are looking for experienced disability support staff to join our casual pool.
We supply support staff to organisations across Perth to cover for staffing shortages, gaps in recruitment, holiday and sickness cover.
We have a wide variety of shifts available across mornings, afternoons, evenings , sleep overs, waking night duties and the weekends.
We have shorter shifts, full days and 24 hours shifts available so our hours are totally flexible and these could be in the areas of supported accommodation, community and in home respite.
Ideally you will have a minimum of 12 months pervious experience in supporting people living with a disability. We would consider 6 months experience if this has been gained in a full time role.
You will be a flexible, committed, patient and enthusiastic individual with a clear passion for supporting people living with a disability with a true person centred approach.
We require you to hold the following in order to be shortlisted for interview;
- National Police Clearance (obtained within the last 12 months)
- Current First Aid and CPR certificate
- Full valid driving licence and your own vehicle
- Australian work rights
- Current Manual Handling (or willing to obtain)
- Current Medication Administration (or willing to obtain)
- Working with children card
Any additional skills in the following areas would be highly desirable;
- PEG
- Diabetes management
- Catheter care
- Epilepsy management and medication
- Vehicle strapping
