Group Business Director
Trading under Publicis Media Australia
Location: Sydney
Purpose of the role
To inspire and manage the client team and specialists to deliver world class work, service and partnerships. Deliver services and products that drives marketing led growth for our clients.
Key Responsibilities
Develop trusted and positive senior client relationships e.g. CMO, Marketing Director and ensure our agency team is acting as a true marketing partner
Develop internal and external client action plans that:
1) Drives you and your team to deliver against client needs in a style which makes your client consider you their most valued business partner
2) Identify opportunities to deliver marketing led growth via our diversified service
Custodian of the whole client contract, ensure your across any inclusions, scope of work and have a plan in place to safeguard any upcoming renewals/negotiations (with General Manager/Managing Director)
Inspiring, motivating and developing an integrated team of strategy, comms planning, innovation, account management, investment and digital professionals to be our explorers, innovators and rule-breakers
Develop a high performing team through the ongoing coaching, management and monitoring of annual personal development plans and checking in regularly to adjust KPIs based on ongoing achievements
Optimising resource taking into consideration both financials (to ensure client profitability) and to future proof the agency offering vs competitors
Strategic Planning
Collaborate with the Innovate team to implement workshops that create actionable ideas and actively remove roadblocks to bringing these ideas to life
Leading the team in defining key campaign success metrics that link to marketing led ROI
Identify brief project leads within the team and ensure response delivery timelines are in place
Ensure processes are in place that guarantee seamless campaign execution and reporting instilling a culture of attention to detail and communication
Produce case study work we can enter into awards, we want you to break the rules, innovate and explore new ideas
As a senior leader of the agency be the best representative of our core values by contributing to the broader agency culture and initiatives
Driving the agency’s profile in market by connecting with media, publishing thought leadership pieces and sharing via your social networks
Using your established network to identify and nurture new business leads
Build strong relationships with media owners and ensure we are partnering with them positively
Experience Required
This position requires a relevant tertiary qualification or a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in lieu of qualification. This role also requires 8+ years of media planning/buying experience within a media or marketing environment
A deep understanding of all media channels and exceptionally strong client servicing skills
A thought leader
Intimate knowledge of the Australian media landscape across all media, trends and opportunities
Strong client servicing skills and has developed trusted relationships at CMO level
