Our client is a leading, multi-platform publisher focussed on servicing the Australian financial services industry. They own and operate multiple titles in the B2B and B2C sectors including Financial Standard, Money magazine, FS Sustainability and Industry Moves to name a few.

An opportunity has now opened up for a Graduate to join a young, fast paced, and growing team in a full-time role in the Sydney office. Supporting the broader media sales team, your role will be responsible for, but not limited to the following:

  • Helping ‘appointment set’; generating a pipeline of upcoming meetings with new and existing clients
  • Responding quickly and efficiently to all incoming media sales leads, passing them on to the media sales team in a timely manner
  • Assisting in preparing proposals for new and existing clients plus facilitate showing off our publishing assets and services
  • Coordinating the sales team and Publisher by helping manage schedules, set meetings, calendar entries, filing documents and communicating all relevant information
  • Working with the broader sales team to prospect for custom media opportunities and events
  • Ensuring the adequacy of sales-related collateral and presentation materials
  • Liaising with other departments and clients to provide the service most suitable to the client’s needs
  • Assisting the Publisher with ad hoc editorial, production, media partnership or sales related requests as they arise
  • Participating in the discussion and development of ongoing sales strategy, contributing to the overall success of the publishing assets - print and digital

To be considered for this role you will possess:

  • An aptitude for sales and new business development
  • A proactive, forward thinking approach and ‘can do’ attitude
  • Outstanding written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to work under pressure within a fast-paced environment while meeting deadlines
  • Organised and possess a high level of administration ability to effectively manage workload
  • Be well presented, with an ability to work both independently and in a team environment
  • A keen interest in media and the financial services industry


  • Tertiary qualifications in media, communications, business, marketing or a related discipline is preferred but not essential
  • Competent MS Office skills, Word, Excel, PowerPoint; other multimedia applications a bonus
