We are currently seeking an experienced Senior Finance Analyst to provide strong financial support to our Business Insights (BI) Financial Control Building function, supporting the Victoria, South Australia and Western Australia Regional Business Units (RBUs).

As the Senior Finance Analyst (BI), you will work collaboratively with the broader Building Finance team to deliver insights and drive robust financial control activities across the RBUs to support the achievement of strategic, financial and operational objectives.

In addition, your accountabilities will see you:

  • Ensuring the delivery of RBU reporting requirements (to the Building Executive Management team) in line with reporting timelines and in collaboration with key stakeholders, to help inform and drive performance and strategy, including portfolio performance
  • Supporting RBU level consolidation of all reporting processes (including input to strategy, business planning, management reporting (MMRs/QBRs), Project in Delivery analysis and statutory reporting), providing insights and investigating material exceptions to forecast and business plan
  • Supporting the provision of robust financial control, solid technical accounting guidance and accurate and commercially insightful reporting in a timely fashion to support informed management decision making
  • Working collaboratively with Building Business Partners and Asset & Project Insights Finance teams to understand financial and management reporting requirements, ensuring ongoing engagement with and understanding of finance processes and timelines
  • Supporting RBU conversion teams in pipeline forecasting, driving consistent and best practice pipeline reporting
  • Supporting RBU key stakeholders in the presentation and reporting of costs (incl. overheads and bid costs) to support effective decision making, demonstrating a deep understanding of underlying productivity drivers and providing insights for improved cost control and efficiency
  • Providing finance support to origination and conversion activities, in areas such as preliminaries (costs), security, insurance advice and contributing to the preparation of finance returnable schedules
  • Drive improved short-term and long-term cash flow reporting and forecasting across the business
  • Leading and supporting the successful embedment of finance-driven improvement initiatives across Building, including providing relevant subject matter expertise
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of both the internal and external business drivers and to identify ways we can enhance our technical and commercial partnering with Finance and to Business teams

To see your success in the role, you will possess the following:

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications and technical post tertiary qualifications which include CA or CPA qualifications
  • Process improvement and optimisation mindset
  • Team player focused on working collaboratively within and across teams
  • 6+ years’ experience in financial reporting, financial planning & analytics or a related field
  • High outcome orientation and drive as well as a thorough understanding of the financial reporting and analytical needs of the RBUs
  • First class decision making, stakeholder engagement and influencing skills
  • Leadership, problem solving and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple competing priorities
  • Ability to adjust rapidly and frequently to new situations and support others in adapting to change
