The Position

Due to further growth through acquisition, we are currently seeking a Payroll Officer to join our National Payroll team based at our Corporate Office, Milton. 

This position reports directly to the National Payroll Manager and requires a person who has demonstrated experience within a high-volume large payroll function spanning across a multi-site environment. Additionally, experience working with multiple awards and Enterprise Agreements and other industrial instruments. 


  • Completion of accurate and timely end-to-end high volume payroll processing for a large payroll function across multi-site environment;
  • Completion of internal customer requests such as terminations, onboarding and adjustments;
  • Support site supervisors and administrators on payroll related costs and issues;
  • Generating reports for across the organization;
  • Maintenance of personnel data to ensure systems reflect current information;
  • Calculations for terminations, long service leave, redundancies and leave;
  • Provide assistance when necessary to other Payroll Officers within team; and
  • Ensure compliance with payroll related Award and Enterprise Agreement legislative and statutory requirements.


Key Selection Criteria

  • Demonstrated experience and knowledge of statutory payroll requirements;
  • Experience with interpretation of multiple awards and EBA’s and other industrial instruments;
  • Solid experience in a multi-site and multi agreement payroll environment;
  • Continually review and recommend processes to increase efficiencies;
  • Administration experience with payroll and time and attendance systems;
  • Knowledge and experience in Preceda and Kronos is an advantage; and
  • Advanced excel skills.
