About the Role

The Network and Systems Engineer is responsible for the maintenance and development of networking, servers, security systems and related hardware and software. You will be joining a multi-disciplinary team with the remit to maintain and secure the customer facing networks and supporting infrastructure. As a key member of the Infrastructure team, you will be committed to supporting continuous improvement with a strong focus on security. 

Additionally you will be responsible for: 

  • Management of physical, virtual and cloud networking infrastructure and services;
  • Installation, configuration and maintenance of networking equipment and network operating systems;
  • Installation, configuration and maintenance of Linux Servers;
  • Management of network and server configurations, provisions and changes;
  • Monitoring and configuring networks to optimise performance and resolve faults;
  • Maintaining and performing regular upgrades to the network and servers;
  • Performing regular security monitoring and identifying any possible intrusions;
  • Performing daily monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of hardware, resources, systems and key processes;
  • Providing after hours level 3 support to assist the IT operations staff with troubleshooting and rectifying issues.


About You

We are looking for energetic, enthusiastic team members with the following skills and experience:

  • At least 3 + years experience in firewall management and monitoring (ideally with Palo Alto experience);
  • Proven experience in Cisco switching & routing;
  • Strong knowledge of Linux administration, OVM/Xen;
  • AWS cloud networking experience;
  • PCI DSS and related security domain Knowledge; 
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to form strong stakeholder relationships.
