JOB DESCRIPTION

Administration Officer (Parental Leave Cover) -1 year Fixed Term, Part Time (2.5 days per week)


Purpose of the position

The incumbent of this role is responsible for coordination, planning and delivery of business services, as well as providing a range of high quality administrative services and support to the Executive Director and The College of Law South Australia business unit to drive efficiencies within the business unit to support the achievement of strategic goals.


Key Accountabilities

  • Coordinates key relationships and related events, including but not limited to; law student societies/associations, law schools, alumni, STEP and JusticeNet
  • Prepare information and reports for a range of internal and external bodies and events.
  • Contributes towards the planning and administration of adjuncts/independent contractors, including all-of-team professional development meetings
  • Monitors the progress of all course enrolments, courses, evaluation outcomes and makes recommendations where required
  • Monitors the progress of students who have fallen behind their timetables and assists with interventions as required
  • Assists students to develop strategies to secure work experience
  • Monitors clerkship programs, identifies business development opportunities, recommends actions and coordinates those actions
  • Prepares and monitors the annual PLT oral assessment moderation process
  • Assist COLSA and CDD staff with the coordination of course development
  • Responsible for all aspects of the planning, preparation and delivery of continuing professional development events
  • Interact with other business units to ensure successful business outcomes for COLSA

  • Demonstrated ability to manage your workload
  • Excellent time management and project management skills
  • Strong diary management skills
  • Intermediate to advanced user of MSOffice, PowerPoint, CRM’s and databases
  • A high attention to detail
  • Excellent written communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills – the ability to work with people of varying backgrounds and ability to contribute to a cohesive team environment
  • Knowledge of the legal or other professional services industry would be highly-regarded as would knowledge of the tertiary education sector
