JOB DESCRIPTION

What’s the deal with this role?

You have always wanted to be a project manager. You want to lead people, be the go-to person and enjoy the accomplishment of seeing a project delivered.

But you aren’t quite there yet skills-wise. You’ve got a decent foundation of knowledge post-grad (4 years+) and now you need some additional training.

Someone who will work one to one with you and teach you how to price up projects properly, how to program without making costly mistakes and how to ensure that the client is always happy.

You’ll get strong support from not only the PM’s but also the directors who have been there, done that and got the t-shirt.

The salary? $90-$110k package with a yearly financial appraisal and bonus.

If you are ready to fast-track your way to the top with a builder that will show you the right way to build then this is the role for you.

And what about the company?

  • A close team of 20 staff will provide you with the framework to grow your career.
  • Staff stick around because they feel respected, supported, and well-trained.
  • 4 project managers deliver projects from $250k -$15 million in the commercial, education and health fit-out sectors.
  • Regular social events, attendance at construction functions and paid training for their staff

This looks perfect for me, but you know the market. What are you looking out for here?

You’ll need to be confident that you understand fit-outs and have good core CA skills.

As a project coordinator, you’ll not just be doing CA work. You’ll be across design development, preconstruction, coordinating sites and supporting the PM.

If you want to be a top PM in the future, you’ll be learning on the job how to manage your time properly and ensuring that the client is delighted with the final result and YOUR ability to deliver it.

Sounds great. What’s the next step?
