The Role
An opportunity has become available for a Physiotherapist – Senior (Aged Care) to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our 10 000-strong team is on providing world-class health care to over 550,000 people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia.
You will
- Deliver advanced clinical and advisory services through extensive experience, advanced clinical reasoning, problem solving, and treatment skills
- Apply advanced professional judgement to complex clinical problems utilising evidence based practices, clinical expertise and multi-specialty skills
- Facilitate the development, implementation and evaluation of clinical practices, procedures and workplace guidelines, developing and implementing quality and service improvement activities
- Assist the facility based Clinical Educator in providing student placement opportunities and clinical education
About you
To be successful in this position you will require:
- A tertiary degree in Physiotherapy
- AHPRA Registration
- Evidence of vaccination, or be able to be vaccinated against - Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella (Chicken Pox), Pertussis (Whooping Cough) and Hepatitis B
- Tuberculosis screening, to identify if the tuberculosis vaccination may be required
- Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed

Salary
- Temporary full time, Temporary part time (hrs negotiable, 10 months with the possibility of extension)
- Base salary ranging from $4 197.30 - $4 516.60 per fortnight, $55.22 - $59.42 per hour
About Us
The Acute Physiotherapy Team at the Gold Coast provide Physiotherapy Services to acute inpatient wards including Medical and Surgical Wards. This role will be based in the Acute Care of the Elderly Ward with a focus on providing acute medical care to geriatric patients who are unwell with a significant cohort of patients managed under an Orthogeriatric Model of Care. This position is based at Robina.
