JOB DESCRIPTION

Strategy Director

As part of OMD's strategy team, you will be responsible for thought leadership and leading strategy for clients and campaigns to achieve business and brand outcomes. You will draw on a combination of data and cultural trends to provide insight, uncover new opportunity, build campaign solutions, and set up media partners and account teams for best practice implementation.

Other responsibilities include:

Product & Innovation

  • Collaboration with business teams to ensure strategy is translated into clear and actionable media execution, brave ideas and partnership briefs grounded in a measurement framework.
  • Strategic leadership including regular trend updates and presentations for agency and client and contribute to proactive ideas bespoke to client needs 

Client Engagement

  • Identification of strategic brand opportunity, measures of success and consumer insight to create omni-channel media strategies in response to client briefs and proactively as relevant.
  • Regular and proactive thought leadership in market/trend update reports, topical opportunities, and audience intelligence reports

Commercial

  • Strategy leadership for occasional ad-hoc additional projects, new business, or brand opportunities outside day-to-day clients
  • Highlight best in class agency work through award entries and best practise campaign curation

People Leadership

  • Strategy thought leadership and sharing with internal teams and junior staff
  • Ensure reporting and measurement of campaigns deliver on strategy KPIs

A bit about you…

  • You're experienced in delivering omni-channel eCommerce strategies and have extensive knowledge of consumer insight creation, market analytics and the ability to identify new brand opportunities for communications
  • A natural collaborator and problem solver who is enthusiastic about helping others with the ability to coordinate the output of a diverse range of specialists, ensuring their output is integrated and measurable
  • You tell a compelling story and always have strong proof points to demonstrate a clear campaign / brand path forward
