JOB DESCRIPTION

Our client, a global engineering company that designs, builds and installs automated logistics solutions, is looking for Site Supervisor to oversee their major build projects across Victoria.

The ideal candidate will come from an electrical and / or mechanical background ideally having experience with rack structures and rigging (added advantage, but not a main requirement).

Key responsibilities:

  • Responsible for coordinating the installation, commissioning and engineering activities on large-scale, complex warehouse/DC automation projects
  • Ensuring that the building, site services and processing equipment are installed and commissioned into full production to meet the client's specifications, within the contract schedule, budget and quality in a safe manner
  • Preparing and reviewing drawings and plans for mechanical and electrical installations
  • Proactively promoting innovation, improvement, risk identification and safety management covering Occupational Health, Safety and the Environment
  • Obtaining necessary materials and resources
  • Organising and supervising the inspection and maintenance of the installed equipment
  • Day to day management of sub-contractors and coordinating regular inspection of works for quality assurance
  • Implement commissioning
  • Ensuring safe installation procedures
    • You will have:
  • 5+ years of experience as a Site Supervisor/Manager installing large capital projects
  • Knowledge of material handling equipment would be an advantage
  • Engineering background with a history of hands on experience
  • Thorough knowledge of WHSE requirements
