We are seeking an experienced General Manager to join our Canberra team on a full-time basis.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Managing team, providing day-to-day direction to all team members
  • Managing day to day operations by ensuring administration, board secretariat, legal compliance, financial management, human resource and risk management are provided to a high standards
  • Developing, implementing and managing business strategies 
  • Planning and managing budgets to achieve business objectives and to maximise profit
  • Managing sales team to maximize sales revenue and meet company sales targets
  • Establishing processes and procedures to ensure organisational efficiency
  • Ensuring teams generate accurate and timely forecasts and financial reports 
  • Reporting directly to the Managing Director and discussing the performance on a monthly basis
  • Working with senior stakeholders to develop and execute key strategic objectives
  • Providing leadership and guidance across multiple disciplines
  • Oversee key hiring and talent development programs
  • Mentoring and leading direct reports
  • Owning and driving P&L growth
  • Ensure the creation and implementation of strategies for obtaining new business
  • Forecasting annual, quarterly and monthly sales goals.

Key Skills & Requirements:

  • Degree in Business/Commerce/Finance or 7+years’ experience in a similar role
  • Strategic planning skills
  • Proven track record in managing financial and accounting principles
  • 10+ years’ experience in a senior leadership position within the audio visual industry
  • Specialist in business management
  • Leadership at Senior Management level
  • Specialist in sales management & new business sales
  • High level sales negotiation specialist
  • Technical specialist in communications technology.
