Drake International are currently seeking a Fulltime Team Leader for Drainage for a council role based in the inner Eastern Suburbs of Perth.

Immediate start, fulltime position paying $40per hour plus super.

POSITION OBJECTIVES

To be responsible for the effective and efficient organisation of the Drainage Crew in the provision of stormwater drainage construction, maintenance and other associated works throughout the City in accordance with agreed performance targets.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

Essential

Previous relevant experience in drainage construction combined with a thorough working knowledge of industry standards and maintenance practices.

A good working knowledge of road construction principles.

Good knowledge and understanding of the Chain of Responsibility legislation as outlined by Main Roads WA and contained in the following,

Road Traffic Vehicles Act 2012

Road Traffic Administration Act 2008

Ability to solve common on the job problems and show initiative when required.

Good interpersonal and customer service skills, to ensure the delivery of a high standard of customer service.

Ability to work effectively under limited supervision, as well as in a team environment.

Good organisational and time management skills.

Ability to acquire the appropriate legislative endorsements e.g. Construction Induction,

Work Safely in the Construction Industry Card White Card in combination with a good understanding of the

Occupational Health and Safety requirements relevant to this position.

Possession of, or the ability to acquire, accreditation in basic road Traffic Management.

Possession of a current HR class driver’s licence.

Possession of or ability to obtain a satisfactory National Police Clearance Certificate, dated the last 12 months.
