About our Endoscopy Suite at Monash Medical Centre

Monash Health is the largest public health service in Victoria, employing over 18,000 people across a range of specialities.

With suites operating on Monday to Friday, our cases are all elective. It is a fast paced busy environment where patient care is our number one priority. Procedures include EBUS, Spyglass, ERCP and EUS and you will be caring for both adult and paediatric patients.

About The Role

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse with relevant Day Surgery/PACU/Anaesthetics experience to join our Endoscopy Suite at Monash Medical Centre, Clayton. You will understand the challenges and rewards of working in a fast-paced environment, while still providing exceptional patient care experiences.

The Endoscopy Department is open Monday to Friday - We currently have an opportunity for an experienced Registered Nurse on a Part Time (48 hrs/fortnight) Ongoing basis. 

As an experienced Nurse, you will be responsible for working with all hospital departments to improve flow and patient experience, duties will include but are not limited to:

  • Assist in managing the day-to-day operations of a busy Endoscopy Unit

  • Ensuring high standards of care are consistent

About You

With your well-developed interpersonal and communication skills, you are easily able to liaise and engage with others at all levels to deliver outcomes in a timely manner. As someone with a strong work ethic, self-motivation and personal values your contribution with the team will support each other and our organisation to be leaders in our field with exciting and progressive treatment and care.

Ideally you already hold or are working towards post graduate qualifications however this is not essential. Above all, you are always absolutely committed to safe professional practice conducted within scope. You are an advocate of Monash Health’s Strategic Guiding Principles.

You are adaptable to a changing environment as we work together to deliver first class service. Alongside your caring and engaging manner, you have a positive work attitude and a strong people-person focus allowing you to engage with our patients and their families.

What you need:

  • Hold a current Victorian Employee Working with Children’s Check

  • Current AHPRA registration 

  • Proven clinical experience working Endoscopy/Day Procedure setting

  • Flexible working style to adapt to changes through the day

  • Compassionate manner, advocating for patients in their vulnerable state

  • Australian working rights
