Position Summary
Title: Allied Health Assistant
Department: Inpatient Rehabilitation
Classification: AHA Grade 1 or 2
Hours per fortnight: 16
Status: Permanent Part-Time
Applications are sought from suitably qualified Allied Health Assistants to work in the Inpatient Rehabilitation Department at Echuca Regional Health.
Key responsibilities include:
Provide strong leadership and support to the AHA team on the Inpatient Rehabilitation ward in the areas of workload, quality improvement and professional development.
Provide strong leadership and support to the AHA team on the Inpatient Rehabilitation ward in the areas of workload, quality improvement and professional development.
Assist in supervising the work performed by Grade 1 and Grade 2 AHAs and AHA students
Manage AHA rotations through the various AHA roles on the rehabilitation ward and promote the utilisation of AHAs within these roles.
Rostering of AHAs to ensure adequate staffing for services, including cover for weekend and public holiday therapy + monitor AHA staff leave balances, approve leave requests and organise staff backfill for service as required.
AHA staff performance appraisals and facilitation of professional development opportunities for AHAs.
Recruitment and orientation of new inpatient rehabilitation AHA staff.
