Regional Commercial Manager
About The Role
Working closely with the regional General Manager and leading a small team, the Regional Commercial Manager is responsible for the following:
- Commercial reviews and negotiations of contracts and other project documents across our broad range of projects and clients;
- Manage project contractual obligations by leading and managing contractual and commercial issues;
- Reporting of project performance against contractual obligations;
- Monitoring and review contracts and support sound commercial decisions on contractual risk;
- Support Bids, draft and review commercial documents to support opportunities identified;
- Reviewing and tracking project profitability against targets and forecasts and budgets; identifying and communicating areas of risk;
- Ensuring accurate and timely reporting of performance vs budgets;
- Providing key financial information and insightful operational analytics;
- Overseeing contract administration processes and financial KPIs of the projects;
- Leading a small regional commercial team, proactively manage the end of month and end of year process for the region; and
- Working with customers with invoicing and managing the regions debtor balances to ensure a reduction in debtor days.

- Proven experience in contract management in a complex and high value contract environment;
- Outstanding commercial and contract management ability;
- Previous experience in being accountable for contracted deliverables, including performance of others where there are dependencies in the achievement of those deliverables;
- Strong business acumen, with the ability to apply knowledge and understanding of competitive/commercial business principles to arrive at sound business decisions.
- Experience running the commercial aspects of a contract as well as driving continuous improvement.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to review and provide recommendations on financial performance across multiple projects;
- High level of communication and interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to operate in a collaborative working environment.
- Ability to manage multiple workflows and reliably meet required deadlines;
- Problem solving skills and ability to deal effectively with difficult situations and a willingness to find creative solutions; and
- Strong time management and effective organisational skills, with the ability to think laterally, work under pressure and achieve work deadlines in an environment of competing priorities.
