The opportunity
We are seeking an experienced and highly organised Executive Assistant to provide administrative support to our CEO and Board. This role requires the provision of high-quality support, including arranging meetings and taking minutes at Executive and Board meetings, writing reports, maintaining and controlling ministerial and government files and diary management. You will also manage requests for meetings with the CEO and use your initiative to resolve issues arising out of telephone calls by providing relevant information or referring issues to the appropriate General Manager.
About you
Ideally to be successful in this role you will need:
Extensive experience in a secretarial and administrative support role at a senior executive level
Experience in preparation of Executive and Board meetings
Well developed knowledge of procedures for dealing with ministerial correspondence and parliamentary requests
Sound knowledge and understanding of policies, protocol and administrative practices pertaining to Government processes and procedures
High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office software including Outlook, Word, Excel and Powerpoint
Well developed administrative, organisational, and customer service skills suited to an executive support function
Sound skills in report writing and shorthand
Highly developed interpersonal skills including the ability to liaise effectively with internal and external stakeholders, staff, members of the public and the RWWA Board
Ability to exercise discretion, resolve problems and use initiative, particularly related to urgent non-routine matters or sensitive issues
Ability to prioritise and manage own workload
Ability to work as part of a team, with or without supervision
