We are seeking a several part-time Community Care Workers (minimum of 40 hours/fortnight) to provide support to our Clients across Scone, Muswellbrook and all over our Upper Hunter Region. Community Care Worker - what's involved in the role? Community Care Workers are part of a dedicated & well supported team providing care in the home, including personal care (helping clients to shower, toilet, and change), housework, shopping, medication supervision, according to each clients care plan. Our staff take the time to fully understand the individual needs of every person we care for and give them the chance to give back to their community. The role of a Community Support Worker actively supports the individual needs of aged people who are living at home, either independently or with family. Our team is passionate about doing whatever we can to empower our Clients to maintain their independence as much as possible so that they can get the most enjoyment out of life.We have shifts for our Care Workers available between Mon- Sun between 7am-8pm. We can be flexible and offer a rewarding career path. So, what do you need to apply? No formal qualification necessary, however Certificate III Aged Care is an advantage * First Aid certificate desirable * Empathy and compassion are a must have. We can train you how to do the job, as long as you have the willingness and desire to do so * You do need a car and current Australian drivers licence to travel between our Clients homes. We pay for your travel time and mileage. (Drives can be between 30 to 45 minutes * Administrative and computer skills, including the usage of a smart phone. * A strong team player attitude, someone who will communicate changes in care, completion of all documentation, while maintaining confidentiality.
