About the Role

The Pastoral Care team at Joondalup Health Campus focuses on helping patients, families and staff cope with the emotional, personal and spiritual issues which arise when facing situations of stress, grief, loss or celebration. We are a small, compassionate and supportive team trained in clinical pastoral support, and respect the privacy and dignity of our patients, their families and staff members.

Our team focuses on;

Providing quality and tailored spiritual care, through attentive listening, guided meditation, prayer, sacraments, rituals and worship services
Initiating and planning for the regular observance of customs and celebrations throughout the year which are meaningful for people of faith across all religions
Supporting clinical teams towards an integrative approach to health and wellbeing

About You

Essential Criteria:
Undergraduate level degree in counselling, philosophy, education, divinity, social work or related field
Satisfactory completion of two or more 400-hour units of Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE)
Five years of proven pastoral experience
Professional membership with Spiritual Care Australia
Demonstrated effective interpersonal skills
Demonstrated strength and capacity in using IT
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Committed to own personal and spiritual growth and development
Demonstrated multi-faith, holistic approach to pastoral and spiritual care

Desirable Criteria:
Graduate or post-graduate level training in relevant field
Leadership experience and capacity
Recent experience in a health care facility
