Full Job Description
The Role

The purpose of the Business Development Consultant works within our “Power of Partnership” model within the State Sales Team to develop meaningful relationships with our mortgage broker and Aggregator partners. The role is a phone-based sales role that works collaboratively with our WA Retail Business Development Managers to achieve disbursement, growth, retention objectives within appropriate risk and compliance guidelines.

Key Responsibilities

Collaborate within state partnership team to develop and implement effective 90 Day Business Plans to meet both financial and strategic initiatives.
Uncover, establish and retain broker relationships through proactive sales calls, campaigns, email and industry events to increase sales volume and ensuring good customer outcomes
Utilise a diagnostic sales approach to uncover needs and add value to partners through our strategic pillars of partnership, education and diversification
Uncover both retail and small business opportunities
Provide guidance, training and coaching on Bank product, credit policy, process and systems
Proactively identify and manage risk as a first line defence of the bank.

Skills & Experience

Higher School Certificate (mandatory)
Current Driver’s License (mandatory)
Strong interpersonal skills with ability to build and maintain strategic working relationships - specifically in dealing with Advisers over the telephone
Sales ability / persuasiveness
Strong credit / lending knowledge and background
Business Development Skills; business acumen and strategic planning
