We are currently seeking a switched on and motivated Terminal Cleaning Manager with proven experience in leading, managing and coordinating the delivery of cleaning outcomes at one of our major aviation contracts located in Brisbane. The successful candidate will be required to work on a Full-time basis, Monday to Friday from 14.00-22.00pm. The role is predominately managing and driving cleaning outcomes, however from time to time the role may require a hands-on approach. The successful person will be supported by the State Operations Manager to ensure all KPI’s and targets are met. Job Description
Your main responsibilities will include:
- Overseeing the day-to-day cleaning operations according to contractual requirements
- Effectively manage staff to include efficient shift coverage requirements and service delivery KPIs are met
- Training and mentoring team members
- Work with the State Operations Manager to actively improve the cost effectiveness of the services of the portfolio, including consumables and maintenance
- Building and maintain effective client relationships, managing client requests and complaints
- Preparation of reporting requirements
- Responding to general cleaning, periodical, preventative and emergency incidents or queries
- Actively promote a positive and safe work environment
- Administration tasks as required
Desired Skills and Experience
To be considered for this role, you must have the following as a minimum:
- Minimum 5 years management experience in the cleaning industry
- Demonstrated experience in leading and supporting a team of 30 + employees
- The ability to understand service contracts and drive performance across a team
- Ability to lead and motivate the team, and encourage good teamwork
- The ability to understand and comply with policies and procedures
- A solid understanding of general cleaning principles, cleaning equipment and cleaning machinery
- An excellent customer and service delivery focus
- Intermediate to advanced computer skills
- Obtain an ASIC pass and undertake regular DAMP testing
- Thorough understanding of safe chemical use, and OHS in the workplace
- Strong time management skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills both verbally and written
- Valid driver’s licence
