Hays IT in Brisbane are currently partnered with a large financial organisation who are focused on providing quality insurance, banking and wealth products and services.

We are seeking to appoint a Business/Technical Writer into a 6-month contract located within Brisbane CBD

Your new role
In this role, you will be required to update intranet content and support the update of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and support delivery of significant HR and payroll system upgrade.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Taking accountability for ensuring intranet content for leaders and employees is clear and correct, reflecting the changes being introduced by the project
  • Working collaboratively with project resources and SMEs to understand process and system changes
  • Translating changes into clear user- friendly language to support leaders and employees
  • Reviewing and updating impacted intranet content to ensure that support materials are complete and consistent
  • Engaging with business stakeholders as required to meet governance requirements for intranet content
  • Assisting in modifying SOP documentation
  • Supporting regular reporting on the progress and status of review and documentation
What you'll need to succeed
  • Previous experience as a Technical Writer
  • Demonstrated experience in online content writing
  • Prior experience in SOP documentation
  • Experience with HR, payroll and timesheet solutions (highly desirable)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to liaise with diverse stakeholders
  • Sharepoint (O365) content development and editing
  • Understanding and application of risk assessment and controls
