About The Role

We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced HR professional to join our P&C Advisory, Policy and Governance Team, located in Melbourne. Our team are talented HR generalists that provide employees and leaders with highly professional HR services that deliver an exceptional employee experience and support the effective planning and execution of AGL’s people strategy.

In this role you will be focusing on providing complex case management support, managing employee grievances, conducting investigations, supporting organisational change and providing guidance on interpretation of P&C policy and procedure.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Deliver end-to-end case management and investigation services for employee grievance, performance, behaviour and misconduct matters
  • Provide advice and assistance to leaders and employees on the interpretation and application of people instruments, policies and processes, employment and industrial relations legislation and obligations, organisational design principles, change management processes, workforce planning, talent management frameworks and remuneration frameworks
  • Coach leaders to drive a high-performance culture and to manage and resolve workplace issues
  • Delivery of P&C processes and projects / initiatives
  • Preparation/production and delivery of operational people-related reporting

About You

We are looking for a passionate and experienced HR Advisor, who brings a strong customer service orientation combined with good judgement and the ability to confidently influence others to ensure the approach taken to matters is aligned to AGL policy, people processes and values.

What You Will Bring To The Table

  • Experience in P&C Advisory role, specialising in ER/IR matters
  • Solid experience with managing employee grievances and workplace investigations
  • Solid experience with performance management support and leadership coaching
  • Undergraduate degree in HR or other relevant discipline is preferred
  • Exposure to organisational change and project management
  • Strong HR generalist knowledge
  • Ability to influence and negotiate successful outcomes to complex and sensitive issues
  • Ability to build strong working relationships at senior and frontline leadership levels
  • Strong facilitation skills to deliver / support workshops, talent sessions, performance review calibration
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and organisation skills
  • Strong sense of confidentiality and maturity in handling sensitive information
  • High level of business acumen and awareness and understanding of business drivers
