Duties

• As an effective member of the PFT senior leadership team, provide strategic advice on current communication and engagement matters that affect PFT and its private forestry stakeholders as well as strategically plan to meet future resources and expertise needs.
• Lead the design, delivery, evaluation and review of relevant program strategies, communications and media materials, policies and operational approach, in collaboration with the leadership team, internal and external technical experts and relevant stakeholders.
• Manage the financial, physical, information and human resources of the team, including budgeting, planning, and active supervision and development of any staff.
• Develop, implement, maintain, and review appropriate systems and procedures that support the effective and efficient provision of stakeholder engagement, marketing and communications activities of the team.
• Coordinate the delivery of PFT’s Annual Report.

Desirable Requirements

• Current Drivers Licence
• Contemporary knowledge of forestry in Tasmania
• Qualifications and/or extensive experience in:
  • Journalism
  • Marketing
  • Stakeholder engagement/managing partnerships
