The Role

You will assist with all aspects of advice and service on a portfolio of clients. The Senior Accountant will manage their own workflow and supervise at least one team member under their supervision. The role will include:

  • Completion of annual compliance requirements for portfolio of specified clients,
  • Supervision and Mentoring of 1-2 team members in delivering services to portfolio of specified clients
  • Support to the Team with fostering trusted relationships with clients and other relevant associate s
  • Strong working knowledge of taxation and business issues applicable for SME clients.
To Be Successful

To be successful in this role, you will have completed a university degree in Commerce, Accounting or Business and working towards hold a CPA/CA qualification. You will enter the business with a minimum of 3 years' experience in Tax Accounting. As a key member of the team, you will be able to demonstrate the following:
  • Strong knowledge of accepted accounting practices and principles
  • Strong tax knowledge applicable for SME clients
  • Experience with accounting software e.g. MYOB Practice Management and Quickbooks
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to interact with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to work within a team environment and autonomously.
  • A high ethical standard and commitment to confidentiality and professionalism.
