The Role

Reporting to the Transport and Logistics Manager, the Freight Planner is responsible for ensuring all freight tasks are carried out in an effective and efficient manner. The tasks will encompass, but not be limited to; booking freight with transport service providers, working with Mytoll / Tollworks, liaising with service providers, customer service, managing suppliers, and assisting in Mytoll bookings. The scope of work encompasses both International and domestic, including all modes of transport - Rail, Air, Sea, and Road.

Key Responsibilities

· LTL Bookings

· Manifesting

· Invoicing and raising of purchase orders

· Status reporting - DIFOT by customer

· Checking pickups and deliveries are complete.

· DG regulations - Road and Air

· Barge bookings

· Provide administration support to the Operations Manager and Freight Coordinators

· Attend meetings and prepare minutes.

· Review current process and develop new processes where there are opportunities for improvement.

· Capture and report all personnel hours and work scope.

· Update and provide administration support for HSE investigations, reporting and training records.

· Scanning, data entry and archival of documents

Skills & Experience

· Exceptional written and verbal communication skills

· Mytoll / Tollworks experience - advantageous

· Basic understanding of Dangerous Goods

· Understanding of transport services - Road, Air, Sea, and Rail.

· Computer literate in Microsoft Office with particularly strong focus on Excel.

· Product knowledge, ideally with experience in the transport and logistics industry and offshore oil and gas experience

· Excellent attention to detail and focus

· Self-starter who thrives in a team environment
