The Role

An exciting opportunity is now available for a Project Controls Specialist to join this company's Infrastructure Development Operations team on a 15 month fixed term contract in their Perth office. Reporting to the Team Lead Project Controls, the successful candidate will be responsible for working within all stages of project in together with the stakeholders, project and program management teams.

Key Responsibilities

The role will entail overseeing the project and ensuring the budget, schedule, financial tracking, reporting and coordination processes are achieved according to the targets set up.

• Determine cost and schedule impacts of any proposed changes within the Change Management Process
• Schedule, track and report progress and provide support to the project team
• Identify and analyse impacts from any potential risks regarding the schedule and budget, contractor claims and time extensions
• Work with the Finance teams and assist in initialisation of project budget, regularly tracking forecast
• Develop project specific tools to track on site construction progress
• Regular report to the project/program management teams and stakeholders
• Coordinate the progress reporting on the project

The Candidate

• 8-10 years Energy Construction experience
• Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project experience
• Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Project Management or Business/Commerce Qualification
• Experience in project controls, project planner/scheduler position
• Schedule Risk Analysis tools and techniques demonstrated skills
• Ability to communicate with all levels of management and teams
• Ability to contribute to continuous improvement of processes and systems
